Appointment requests

Submitting an appointment request does not confirm an appointment. The appointment is confirmed only after the business accepts the request.

Identification, signer awareness, willingness, document completeness, witness requirements, and other circumstances may affect whether a notarization can be completed.

Preparing your documents

Do not sign the document before the appointment unless you have been specifically instructed to do so. The notary must witness signatures when required by the notarial act.

Refusal of service

A notary may be required to decline a notarization if the signer cannot be properly identified, does not appear willing or aware, or if the document or circumstances do not meet notarial requirements.

Fees

Total cost depends on the number and type of notarial acts, travel distance, appointment location, time of day, waiting time, witness needs, and any printing or signing-agent services requested. Request a clear quote before your appointment.

Texas sets maximum per-notarial-act fees by law. Ask us to confirm current statutory fees when you request a quote.
